Skilled managers, effective teams, lasting results
Support for you
Based in Devon and covering the South West region of Cornwall, Devon and Somerset, I specialize in the ‘people’ side of management. I focus on developing your skills and talents in leading and managing both yourself and others to be effective in providing quality services.
To be successful, an organisation or business relies on its people to deliver high quality services. The way that organisations are run and the people within them are managed will strongly influence the motivation and effectiveness in delivering those services.
Managers can support or hinder the ultimate 'business' of the organisation depending on their ability to lead people, cultivate effective relationships and motivate their staff to work to the best of their potential. Any weaknesses will have a significant impact, which may not always be immediately apparent.
Discovery in action - achieving clarity
My core services of Training, Mentoring and Action Learning provide opportunities for individual and organisational learning and development directly relevant to your current situation and context. These are designed to help you to:
- improve your effectiveness in your role
- manage your relationships by developing your human competencies
- improve service delivery
My approach is based on deep respect, sensitivity, experience, self knowledge, talent and a desire to work with people who wish to find clarity of action and personal learning.
"We were looking to make changes and resolve some things that were holding back areas of our work. It was clear what the problems were but we were unsure how to articulate the key issues or think matters through to getting solutions. Working with Laura went a long way to sorting this out and changing our understanding. Laura's ways of working - insightful, quietly challenging, supportive - helped identify where the real problems lay. Answers emerged with a clarity that I don't think we could otherwise have achieved."
